STAŢIUNEA BĂIŞOARA - ŞESUL CALD - MUNTELE MARE - PIATRA CÂNTATOARE
Marcaj: cruce roşie, durata: 6 ore dus-intors.
Marcaj ce urmează culmea cea mai înaltă a masivului Muntele Mare, oferind panorame excepţionale în toate direcţiile. Recomandat drumeţilor cu pregătire medie şi cicliştilor montani antrenaţi. Pornim din staţiunea Băişoara, din faţa cabanei (hotelului), pe drumul carosabil. În faţa cabanei vechi părăsim şoseaua şi marcajul cruce albastră, ce cotesc stânga, şi intrăm pe "drumul militar". După ce întâlnim o altă variantă a drumului, venind din stânga-spate, ajungem la o bifurcaţie. Drumul carosabil coteşte la dreapta, noi însă continuăm înainte, pe un drum forestier însoţit de o linie telefonică. După un parcurs orizontal traversăm un pârâu şi începem să urcăm.
La o trifurcaţie ţinem dreapta şi, prin pădure, "drumul telefonului" ne scoate la Şesul Cald, puţin mai sus de colibe, unde întâlnim marcajul bandă roşie. În continuare urcăm lin, apoi traversăm mai multe izvoare ale Pârâului Negru, ocolind prin dreapta Vf. Pietrele Mărunte (1735 m) şi coborâm în larga şa La Poduri. În stânga, Valea Podurilor izvorăşte dintr-o întinsă mlaştină. În faţă se ridică Vf. Muntele Mare (1826 m). Marcajul taie două serpentine ale drumului, apoi îl însoţeşte la stânga pe o porţiune lungă. Când drumul face o serpentină bruscă spre dreapta, îl părăsim, despărţindu-ne astfel şi de marcajul bandă roşie, şi ne angajăm pe o potecă, ghidaţi de stâlpii de marcaj. Traversăm un pârâu (apă nepotabilă!) şi urcăm printre ienuperi, ieşind pe nesfârşitul platou al Muntelui Mare, la 3 ore de la plecarea din staţiune. Ajunși sus, în stânga vedem singura formațiune stâncoasă de pe întreg platoul: Piatra Cantatoare.
BAISOARA RESORT - WARM PLAIN - BIG MOUNTAIN - SINGING STONE

The marking follows the highest mountain peak of Muntele Mare massif, offering exceptional views in all directions. We start from the resort Băişoara from the lodge (hotel) on the road ahead. In front of the old chalet we leave the road and the blue cross mark that turn up left and we enter the "military road". Once we meet another version of the road coming from the left rear, we reach a fork. The roadway bends to the right, we however continue forward on a on a forest road accompanied by a telephone line. After a level section we cross a creek and start climbing. At a trifurcation we keep right, and the "phone road" gets us through the woods to Sesul Cald (Warm Plain), slightly above the huts, where we meet the red strip marking too.
We climb smoothly, then cross the curve at many sources of Paraul Negru (Black Creek), bypassing at the right Pietrele Marunte (Small Stones) Peak ( 1735 m ) and descend to a saddle called La Poduri (Bridges). On the left, Bridges Valley starts from a large swamp. In front stands Muntele Mare (Big Mountain)Peak (1826 m). The mark cuts two coils of the road then accompanies it on a long stretch. When the road makes a sharp right coil, we leave it, thus we separate from the red stripe marking, and we enter on a path guided by the red cross marking poles. We cross a stream (undrinkable water!) and climb through junipers, coming on the endless plateau of Big Mountain, 3 hours after leaving the resort. Once we're up, on the left is the only rock formation across the plateau: our final destination, the Singing Stone.
